Our Story

I created MEHRAL because of a problem I've had for years. I have sensitive skin and I simply can't wear wool, polyester, or many other synthetic fabrics directly against my body. I loved the look and structure of premium wool knitwear, but I always had to wear another layer underneath to avoid the itchiness, which changed the fit and defeated the purpose of a well-made sweater. I wanted something better, so I developed a dual-knit design that interlocks a premium Merino wool outer layer with a soft 100% organic cotton inner layer. The result is a sweater that keeps the elegant look of wool while feeling comfortable on bare skin, with no irritation and no need to wear anything underneath.
